Meera Agar, MBBS (Hons I), MPC, FRACP, FAChPM, PhD
Meera Agar is Director and Professor of Palliative Medicine, IMPACCT (Improving palliative, aged and chronic care through clinical research and translation), University of Technology Sydney. She is the Chair of the Cancer Symptom Trials, the Australian Clinical Trials Collaborative which focuses on clinical trials relating to symptom management and supportive care for people living with cancer. Her interest is in supportive care of brain impacts of advanced illness on the brain, including delirium, dementia and brain tumours; and she has conducted several clinical trials in this area. She is a member of the Australian Delirium Association Committee and European Delirium Association Board. She is the current Chair of the Palliative Care Australia Board.
