Lori Daiello, Lori A. Daiello PharmD, ScM
Lori Daiello is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Health Services, Policy and Practice at Brown University and a Senior Research Scientist at the Rhode Island Hospital Alzheimer’s Disease and Memory Disorders Center where she is engaged in clinical trials of investigational drugs to prevent or treat Alzheimer’s Disease. Dr. Daiello is an NIH-funded independent investigator who leads the Cognitive Recovery after Elective Surgery (CREATES) study which utilizes a novel neuroimaging approach to investigate connections between blood-brain barrier dysfunction, postoperative delirium, and cognitive decline. At the Brown University School of Public Health, she is a frequent collaborator on studies adverse effects of medication on cognitive function among older adults. Dr. Daiello received her training at the Ohio State University College of Pharmacy, and Brown University, where she completed a post-doctoral Dementia Research Fellowship, and a Science Masters of Epidemiology. Throughout her career, Dr. Daiello has been recognized for achievements in research, teaching, and community service.
