Shibley Rahman, MA MB BChir PhD LLB(Hons) LLM MBA PhD MRCP(UK)
Prof Shibley Rahman is a visiting honorary professor at the University of Liverpool and also an honorary research fellow at University College London. Having graduated in medicine from Cambridge, he completed junior physical posts in London and Cambridge, including the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. His PhD from Cambridge is in the diagnosis of behavioural variant frontotemporal dementia. He has published numerous papers and books on academic geriatrics, including dementia, frailty and delirium. He also has an interest in business management and law, in which he holds postgraduate qualifications. Prof Rahman also derives much experience from being an unpaid family carer for a close relative, where also an interest in social justice and sociology of ageing derive from. He currently leads the special interest group for ADS in neurodelirium.
