Lauren E. Scully, BSN, RN, ONC, is a certified orthopedic nurse and patient navigator at The Total Joint Center at The Miriam Hospital, coordinating care for patients through all phases of their treatment and follow-up.

For more than a decade, she has been helping patients understand the comprehensive surgical and medical attention they undergo and to navigate the important administrative aspects of their healthcare. At the Total Joint Center, all patients participate in a pre-admission testing visit that includes an educational session led by Scully. She also manages data, analysis, and reporting to maintain the Total Joint Center’s high standards of care. 

Scully began her nursing career in the medical surgical unit at Rhode Island Hospital, gaining experience in orthopedics, trauma, and general surgery. She later worked as a registered nurse at Lifespan Surgical Services and the Lifespan Community Health Institute.

Scully earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island and is pursuing a Master of Public Health from the University of New England.
