Eleonora Rollo, MD
Eleonora Rollo is a Neurologist, and currently a PhD Student in Neurosciences at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome. She is a Fellow of the European Board of Neurology (FEBN) and a Sleep Expert certified by the European Sleep Research Society. She is a 2022 NIDUS Delirium Boot Camp mentee. Her research activity is focused on delirium in acute stroke and on sleep-stroke relationships. In particular, she has investigated clinical and neurophysiological biomarkers of delirium in acute stroke, as well as the impact of delirium on stroke outcome. Her PhD research project is currently focused on the identification of sleep biomarkers of stroke-related delirium. To support the development of a research grant proposal on this project, she has been awarded the NIDUS II Collaborative Award in 2023. Her future aim is to further develop her research project on stroke-related delirium with interventional studies focused on delirium prevention in stroke units.
