Dr. Gregg Nelson is Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Oncology at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada and is Section Chief of Gynecologic Oncology at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre. His principal research interest is the development and study of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols in OB-Gyn and cancer surgery. He has led the implementation of ERAS across multiple surgical specialties in Alberta since 2013, and holds the positions of Co-Chair Enhanced Recovery Canada^TM, Chair ERAS® Society Women’s Health Section, and Treasurer ERAS® Society. Dr. Nelson has received over $7,000,000 in grant funding, authored >200 peer-reviewed publications, and is the lead editor of the ERAS® Society Handbook for Obstetrics & Gynecology.
