Christina Boncyk, MD
Christina (Tina) Boncyk is from Wisconsin where she attended medical school and anesthesiology residency at the University of Wisconsin. She completed her critical care and T32 research fellowship fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Following her training she stayed on as faculty where she has received funding by the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER), the Society of Academic Associations of Anesthesiology and Preoperative Medicine (SAAAPM), and the National Institute on Aging (NIA) for research studying the impact of medications on patient outcomes within and following ICU survival. Additionally, she leads the Biomarkers core within the Critical Illness, Brain Dysfunction, and Survivorship (CIBS) Center at Vanderbilt, is a co-Editor for the Visual Abstract team for the journal Anesthesiology, and section editor for Sedation-Pain-Delirium for the Journal of Critical Care.
