Dr. Zhongcong Xie (Z) is the Henry Beecher Professor of Anaesthesia in Harvard University and Physician-Anesthesiologist in Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Xie's research works include investigating the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease, perioperative neurocognitive disorder, focusing on determining the roles of perioperative factors, including anesthetics, surgery, pain and sleep disturbance in the pathogenesis of these disorders.
