Dr. Jossart has served as the Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery at CPMC since 1999.  He recieved his M.D. from the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis in 1991.  He completed his general surgery residency at UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco including 2 years of Endocrine Surgery research.  He completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1999.  He is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow with the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons.  Since 2005, he has maintained a Center of Excellence with the ASMBS.
