Kelly Potter, PhD, RN, CNE
Dr. Kelly Potter is a nurse scientist and assistant professor in the Center for Research, Investigation, and Systems Modeling of Acute Illness (CRISMA) at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Potter completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Iowa, her Master of Science in Nursing Education at Duke University, and her PhD in Nursing Science at the Medical University of South Carolina. She came to Pitt for her postdoctoral training, where she began building her research program focused on improving long-term outcomes in critical illness survivors by navigating the intricacies of complex interventions delivered to a highly heterogeneous population. Her growing program of research is based on the hypothesis that interventions designed to promote neurocognitive and functional recovery after critical illness should be tailored both to the patient who receives care and the conditions in which care is delivered.
