Dr. Schlögl, MD, MBA, MPH
Dr. Mathias Schlögl is a clinician scientist in internal and geriatric medicine, with specialized expertise in delirium, communication, and palliative care. He holds an MBA from the University in St.Gallen (Switzerland) and an MPH from the Harvard T.H. School of Public Health (USA), bringing a robust strategic and public health perspective to his medical practice and research initiatives. Currently, he serves as the Chief Physician of Geriatrics at Barmelweid, a role he has held since July 2022, where he leads in delivering advanced care and spearheading innovative research in geriatric medicine.
As a board member of IAGG eTRIGGER Asia - Oceania (ASIO), Dr. Schlögl works to elevate geriatric care standards globally. He also contributes significantly as a Senior Research & Innovation Fellow at the UZH Healthy Longevity Center and as an Associate Editor for both Palliative Medicine Reports and the Journal of Palliative Medicine.
His international experience is highlighted by his tenure as a Visiting Research Fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States, where he engaged in pivotal geriatric research. Dr. Schlögl's extensive education and broad global perspective make him a key figure in transforming elderly care worldwide.
