Colette Jappy is a certified adult-gerontology clinical nurse specialist (CNS) currently in the role of Geriatric CNS at Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco. In 2023, Colette obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and now additionally works as an assistant professor in the clinical nurse specialist track at the University of California, San Francisco. In the hospital setting, Colette provides expert services regarding the care of hospitalized elders, and supports multiple programs and initiatives aimed at improving outcomes of this population. She is active in nursing research and is the co-lead of the local research and evidence-based practice committee. A highlight of her work in the CNS role was participation in a core team that developed a transgender health program at a community hospital. Colette has presented locally and nationally on transgender health and geriatrics.
