Dr. Melanie Horn earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from University of Pacific Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and completed a PGY1 Health System Pharmacy residency program at Kaiser Permanente Roseville Pharmacy Services. She is board certified through the Board of Pharmacy Specialists in compounded sterile preparations. She provides leadership and operational oversight of sterile, hazardous and nonsterile pharmaceutical compounding services for the enterprise. The health-system is comprised of twenty-seven acute care campuses and thirteen cancer center sites with a total of 39 sterile compounding cleanroom suites. The main responsibilities include ensuring quality and compliance with all compounding activities with a focus on patient safety and best practices.
