Andy Brothers, MD
Born and raised in small-town Ohio, Dr. Andy Brothers received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University, attended medical school at the Ohio State University, and went on to Forbes Family Medicine Residency Program in Pittsburgh, PA. He then enjoyed nine years of busy practice in the San Francisco Bay Area before joining the faculty of the Sutter Family Medicine Residency Program in 2012. Dr. Brothers serves as Chair of Sutter Medical Group's Race, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (REDI) Task Force. He is also Co-Chair of the Sutter Health Institute for Advancing Health Equity's Physician and APC Ambassador Council. Other leadership experiences include service as Clinician Team Lead of the FM Residency Program office, and as FM Department Chair at SMCS. He is a graduate of the inaugural class of the Health Equity Scholars Fellowship in 2021 led by the faculty of Harvard Medical School and T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Brothers is proud to serve his community as the District 2 (Davis) Representative and Chair of the Community Services Action Board in Yolo County where he lives with his wife and 2 children.
