Dineen Greer, M.D.,M.P.H.
Dr. Dineen Greer was raised in Bakersfield, CA and received her Bachelor of Art at Stanford University and Master of Public Health at the University of California at Berkely. She obtained her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. During her fourth year of medical school, she was recognized as a future leader in Family Medicine and was a recipient of the prestigious Pisacano Scholars Award. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at the Providence Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.
Prior to joining the faculty of the Sutter Family Medicine Residency Program (FMRP) in late 2003, Dr. Greer was medical director of the Carolyn Downs Family Medicine Center in Seattle, Washington. She has served as the Program Director for FMRP since 2017 and is passionate about training our future family medicine physicians. She is a former Chief of Staff at Sutter Medical Center Sacramento and currently serves as the Chairperson of the Medical Staff Credentials Committee. She also serves on the Sutter Medical Group Board of Directors and is a member of the American Board of Family Medicine Certification Examination Committee.
Her clinical areas of interest are HIV and viral hepatitis, as well as community engagement and mentorship. In her time away from medicine, she enjoys spending time with her family, exercising (especially high intensity interval training) and community volunteer work.
