Doug Tong serves as Executive Medical Director of the Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Service Line of the Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group (PAFMG). He is also Physician Champion on the PAFMG Clinical Informatics Team. He graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Science in the Biological Sciences and from Northwestern University Feinberg Medical School. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and served as Chief Resident prior to joining the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in 2003. He maintains an active clinical practice and prior teaching roles include clinical instructor positions at UCLA and Stanford.

His current leadership focus is on primary care growth and stabilization. He is father to twin boys entering the 4th grade. He enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, San Francisco Giants games, and attending symphony concerts.
