Monica Grova, MD, FACS
Dr. Grova is a surgical oncologist and general surgery, with a particular focus on melanoma as well as soft tissue and gastrointestinal malignancies. She earned her medical degree from UCSF School of Medicine and completed her residency in General Surgery at UC Davis. Following her residency, she further honed her expertise through a fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is board certified in both General Surgery and Surgical Oncology.
Currently, Dr. Grova serves as the Medical Director of Surgical Oncology at Mills Peninsula Hospital, where she is dedicated to providing exceptional care to her patients and advancing the field of oncology.
Growing up in Santa Cruz, Dr. Grova has deep roots in the community, where much of her family still resides. Outside of her professional commitments, she enjoys playing basketball, hiking, and traveling. She often spends her weekends in the scenic Santa Cruz mountains with her partner and his son, embracing the beauty of nature and family time.
