Session Description
Sutter Health nurses continue to demonstrate their passion for finding creative, evidence-based ways to promote health and healing. This one-day symposium is designed to engage and inform nurses in all roles and care settings with evidence-based, invigorating, useful, and actionable content.
The focus of this session is on Wound Care: Healing & Preventing. Skin is the primary interface between the nurse and the patient. Participants will learn to assess skin, including ways skin tone may affect assessment and strategies for assessing darkly pigmented skin. Compare wound care products for when and how to use them and learn how each heals. After understanding causes and stages of pressure injuries, participants will learn strategies of prevention.
