Description:
The Anesthesiology Morbidity & Mortality Case Conference provides a safe forum for providers to evaluate and learn from systemic and individual errors, thereby leading to improved medical care for our patient population.

Learning Objectives
After completion of this activity, learners/ attendees should be able to:
1. Discuss challenging anesthesiology cases with other anesthesiologists to support reflection on how the anesthesiology care may have affected the patient's outcome.
2. Evaluate cases resulting in unexpected adverse outcomes and participate in case review.
3. Appraise risk of adverse events in future patients with similar clinical considerations to promote prompt management of patient complications.
4. Choose to self-report and discuss any anesthesia-related adverse events and near misses, so that all can learn from each other and support improved patient outcomes.
