I completed my undergraduate degree in nursing at Cal State Hayward in 2011, and my master's in nursing at University of California, San Francisco in 2016 with a focus on adult-gerontology primary care. Prior to my current job I was an Emergency Department Staff RN II. As a cardiology nurse practitioner at the Sutter Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program and the Sutter Valve and Structural Heart Program, my role involves managing clinical care for adult patients with mild to complex valvular and congenital heart disease, including patient visits for preoperative and postoperative follow ups, care for pregnant ACHD patients, and titration of goal directed medical therapy for heart failure; serving as the lead nurse practitioner for the cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) program at SMCS; performing 30-day return visits following transcatheter aortic valve implantation and mitral and tricuspid valve transcatheter end-to-end repair with the Sutter Valve Clinic; participating in admission, discharge, and daily rounding for hospital inpatients with congenital heart disease as a member of the ACHD consult service, and working closely with adult and pediatric cardiothoracic surgery team to medically manage patients before and after open heart surgery.
